Privacy Policy

• Account: email address (if you sign in with email, Google or Apple), username, avatar. Guests get a random ID and name.
• Games: moves, results, clocks, ratings and statistics.
• Chat and reactions you send in games.
• Linked chess accounts: your Chess.com or Lichess username and public ratings, only if you link them.
• Technical data: online status, connection and error logs, needed to keep games fair and fix bugs.

Your camera and microphone stream live, directly or through a relay server, to the other people in the same game. We do not record, save or analyse video or audio. Only connection information (camera on/off, mic on/off) is stored while you are in the room.

• To provide the service you asked for: accounts, games, ratings, chat (contract).
• To keep the platform safe, stop cheating and fix errors (legitimate interest).
• Turning on your camera is your choice and your consent, which you can withdraw by turning it off.

We never sell your data and show no ads. We use service providers who process data for us: our hosting and database provider, Cloudflare (video relay), Google and Apple (only if you sign in with them), and Giphy (GIF search). Other players see your username, rating, chat and live video during games. Some providers may process data outside the EU under approved safeguards.

Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Guest data and logs are deleted after they are no longer needed. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed, while finished games may stay with an anonymous name so opponents' history stays correct.

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or limit its use, and withdraw consent. Email Chesswebcamchess@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) or your local authority.

The service is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors and delete it when we find it. See the Age Policy.

We only use storage needed to run the app. See the Cookie Policy.
